Oriana Guerrero and her team win bronze in volleyball in Denmark
Oriana Guerrero won the bronze medal in the Danish Professional Volleyball League, by defeating her team, Vestsjaelland, against Brondby, in the dispute for third place in the championship. This is the most important achievement in history by the Cartagena club, who arrived this season in Danish territory.
Vestsjaelland had won in the first game of the series, agreed to the best of three games, three sets by one. In the second game, as visitors, things were not easy for Guerrero and her teammates. They won the first sets comfortably with partials 25-22 and 25-17, but the Brondby managed to tie by winning the next two, by 24-26 and 21-25. At the end, in the fifth and final set, the Cartagena club won with a 15-12 run.
Oriana Guerrero was a fundamental piece for Vestsjaelland throughout the season, even competing for a place in the final, being eliminated against Gentofte, a historic fact for a team that is not used to being at the top of the table. In this game she was the top scorer of the match, contributing 22 points to the offense.
